Questions:
- - How do people expect us to become creative, if we are raised under circumstances that hold us back from creativity?
- - I think that from the start our parents should lay out all the possible activities, sports, and hobbies, or clubs that bring out our creativity. I believe that from a young age we should be exposed to different areas that let children start to find who they are, what they like, and what they don’t like. Doing so will enable kids to discover what it is they like to do. Whether it is painting, singing, dancing, writing, or sports, kids should know what it feels like to be curious and investigate more into their likes and dislikes. Once they have somewhat of an idea of what they like to do, they can take that even further and turn it into a career. Alongside with encouragement to keep them working hard for what they want. (If only things could happen that easily) I think that it is important to continue to push your children to find the one thing they are passionate about. Sitting all day in front of a TV, or sheltering them too much may result in lack of creativity. I think that the key to maintaining creativity is through exposure to resources and questioning, investigating and thinking critically. If we are constantly thinking above and beyond, also known as critical thinking, we are setting up our kids, teens, and young adults for success. Creativity is like gold, and if we can grasp that and make it grow, so we don’t ever lose our creativity once we have it.
